Trump admin scrambles to replace Justice RBG before election

Her dying wish was to be replaced by the next president. GOP leaders agreed not to do this in the past. This is gonna create a republican super majority and totally cancel abortion. It usually takes 2-3 months to confirm, but they’re gonna rush this. The legitimacy of the SCOTUS is about to be totally trashed.

- It's almost certain that Trump's going to pick Amy Barrett, which he was already saving for RBD.      
- The left won't be able to pull a Kavanaugh with a God-fearing mother. Her confirmation will be much smoother without an aggressive smear campaign.   

- Barrett is going to be confirmed before Nov. 3, which will severely dampen the enthusiasm of Joe Biden's voters and galvanize support for Trump.  

- If she's not confirmed, Biden will see a significantly higher turnout but Trump will be able to get back older conservatives who have abandoned him due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Even never-Trumpers will have no choice but to suck it up and cast their vote for Trump because replacing RBD is an uphill battle for conservatives.     

I'm pretty sure that Trump's reelection chances have drastically increased now.

She doesn’t need to be. The SC operated just fine with an even number of judges when Mitch blocked Garland for like a year (2016~). This is just an excuse to do cancel abortion and other things.

There’s no legal limit on judges. So if Biden is sworn in, he can add like 2-4 more judges if the Dems secure the entire government - which slay (a little) for my beliefs, but this is totally gonna ruin the reputation of the Court as a fair and balanced court (even more.)

That can’t be good for an already tanking trust in government.

Only if Joe is dumb enough not to promote the fact he’s gonna rebalance the Court and cancel the super majority by adding more judges. Then, he can totally boost his support. Abortion is on the ticket. 7/10 people are pro choice. Well, Joe Biden is dumb and his campaign sucks so that’s highly unlikely. Also, he has been one of the most adamant opponents to expanding the court. So, this is what Democrats get.

The argument of “elect Joe Biden because of the court” just went out the window. So no. It does not galavanize his supporters because Trump’s nominee will, won or lose, be confirmed before January 20. McConnell is more than likely going to hold this open until right after November 3 to rouse Trumps base and motivate Conservatives and Evangelicals to support him and vote for him. Then confirm in the two months between November 3 and January 20 when Republicans will still have a Senate majority regardless of the November 3 outcome.
