She didn’t have her meds, so obviously her mind wasn’t in the right place, even if she may just have been running errands to get some fruit or something. Maybe it was an impulsive decision. When she wakes up, the first thing she asks is if anyone died. If it was an accident, why would she immediately be thinking of OTHER people? Especially when SHE was the most injured. I took this as her immediately regretting her decision because she realized that others could get hurt in the process. She also says that she doesn’t want to die in the end. When she wakes up she asks if someone died as if she knew exactly what happened, and then she starts screaming "I'm sorry".
