i honestly laugh because : Life's Good is very cynical when there's a car crash.

And also LG logo always makes me think of Lady Gaga. There is only one LG for me.

I think the scene doesn't make you want to buy something and indulge in capitalistic behaviours at all anyway. When you see those girls taking picture and all. Screens are cynical. Toxic. Except maybe for the good movies in the theatres. As distractions. Well Idk.

For me, it was a clever and funny reverse of the Warholian experience in it's finest. Best Gaga placement. best placement in history of placement. For what it's worth.

Ps : Stop having smartphones. take a phone without event a camera. You will enjoy your life better when you're not on the lap.

hello hello baby.

I also read a theory that life is good is a nod to Chromatica III playing and therefore to Sine From Above--> the hallucination is over and music (the sine) can save her and make life good again

That completely took me out of the story. Maybe they should have put a symbol to LG in the hallucination to justify it being there. Unless there is one and I missed it.

her mind creating L(ady)G(aga), a commercial pop figure turned billion dollar brand, as a form of escape and a way to express the trauma and pain Stefani experienced is basically the justification. Also the Sine Symbol and the LG Logo are actually quite similar. And third.. the “life’s good” brand slogan is a way of showing how Gaga made a magical beautiful artistic dream out of pain and trauma.

at least that’s how I took it. The in your face way the LG ad was placed made it seem super intentional to me.

i love the product placement. Product placement (especially LG) has always been a part of of gaga's MV's and it takes me back to the good old days of when Telephone MV was released

Can I... borrow a piece of your chicken?

The LG was not a product placement, i doubt LG had anything to do with the video. It’s very smart that she chose LG because 1. It has the same initials as Lady Gaga and 2. The irony of the Life’s Good after she went through all that

I think it fits, the TV says screen reads LG “Life is good”

When the short film is about her reality/trauma - the way she masked her pain in the past but onscreen “life was good”

That's LG'S slogan omg

You can't put a brand on a MV just because it has your initials lmao

i don't like it either but if she had to put one there i guess the LG fits. for one, lady gaga, and for two, life's good, which is one of the themes of chromatica. :selena:

I thought it was clever actually. The Life's Good meaning and then the initial LG. I guess they could have added it to the dream too to make it fit better. But it's only the one placement and does have meaning aside from funding.

Okay so music videos are very expensive to produce, especially one on the scale of 911. Brand sponsorships and advertising are what makes them possible. Did people whine about Plenty of Fish in the Telephone video, or Beats in Bad Romance? Obviously LG sponsored part of this video so she had to include a reference to it somewhere big and visible. Where else would you suggest? The desert scene? 🙄 There is no subtle way to include advertising but that's the point. It has to be obvious. She did the best she could within the required parameters.

Didn’t Telephone at one point hold the record for most product placements in a music video? And people complain about one smartly placed LG Banner.

Oh here it goes. Another GGD member that responds to what’s supposed to be an OPINION with anger and judgement. If you don’t want to listen to other points or views disable comments. Seriously I’m over with this place lately.

They were involved in the visuals for the video per their social media...explains the placement and coincidentally same as her initials!
