I'm still reeling that we just had an Avant Garde surrealist Gaga vid in 2020, don't get me wrong, it's rare that I dislike a music video of here, but this was like revisiting what makes Gaga videos great.

And to think, this is Gaga producing a music video during a pandemic, with severe limitations from the norm...ugh ****ing actual art.

I just feel bad for the bottoms I see that only wanted a cyber-slutty K-POP Dance video from her essentially for this song and are actually disappointed 😂 imagine

Can you shed some light for me please? I haven’t been able to locate most :messga:

I wonder if the end of the video means she has “fallen” back to Earth or if Chromatica was the “illusion” that kept her escape from the real world?

I actually want to see Sine from Above follow this, especially since it ends with the interlude

Most of the production design and image composition was inspired by an Armenian film called "The color of pomegranates" and "The Sacred Mountian" by Alejandro Jodorowsky. The scene where she is flying and pulled down with a rope by her ankle is a homage to "8 1/2" by Federico Fellini. The painting showing the car crash is from "Midsommar".

Basically the whole video is a dream/hallucination she had while experiencing near death after having a car accident. She's not fallen on Earth from Chromatica, this concept is completely detached from that and it's just her personal experience with antipsychotics. The symbolism is sooo well done, you need to watch it many times to get them all :)

The moment I saw the teaser photos I knew the video was going to be nothing like what we expected (dark, choreography, leather and so on). I left all my expectations at the door and I'm glad I did, because I was blown away. Can you imagine if that was the first single and this was the video. I am shook beyond measure.

i’ve heard a whole bunch of theories but this one really stuck: apparently the whole crash was started because she wasn’t on her antipsychotics so she rode her bike into traffic as a suicide attempt. that’s why she’s apologizing at the end saying that she didn’t have her pills and asking “did anybody die”

I just cannot get over this video. It’s amazing!!

I hate to watch the ending, but I can’t not watch it. Such a great scene. :heart:

Yeah I'm still trying to gather my thoughts on how jarring an experience this would be to watch if you also had never heard the song before. It's fully genius, the cultural film references and absurdist layout in this beautiful bright outdoor set clashing with that heavy thumping electronic production and robotic vocals, it's more than I could have imagined with my basic ass mind 😂

I am still feeling so shocked. I love 911, it was my fav since we got Chromatica. The MV is AM-A-ZING.

Congrats Mother Monster. :firega::kara:

Nevermind the transition of Chromatica II to 911, that transition from dream to reality still has me shook. :saladga:

She served and she snapped. I stan an icon - scratch that - a TRICON.

What I'd do to watch this for the first time again :bradley:

When 911 slowly started phasing out and her screams gradually took over, ugh a sonic EXPERIENCE
