There was other reasons why but he is definitely Rihanna’s dance captain for her tours too. Same thing I explained to @PartySick here.

He started working with Rihanna in 2011 his touring schedule alone was crazy.

I always thought, since Gaga is in so much pain and especially now that she has a dance pop album out and will eventually tour, she could just sing and perform and let her dancers do all of the dancing. It could be their highlighting, maybe they'd even appreciate the extra attention. If Gaga ever did that, she'd need Asiel to be on the stage, indefinitely. I just think that it could help ease some of Gaga's pain. She's already shown us through the years that she is a capable dancer, so it's not like she needs to prove anything. Plus, Gaga is known as being a brilliant natural singing voice, she could also highlight that better without having to dance nonstop. Just a thought. I don't know how much her huge fan base would go for it. I wouldn't mind at all. That is what she hires such amazing dancers for and it is their fulltime job.

There are three things at play here:

1 - I have no doubt that we would've seen many of these new dancers in Chromatica Ball. Gagas squad seems much bigger this era and is a good mix of og, occasionals and fresh faces. Many of these new dancers I've seen in Richys pro level class videos. But also some have worked on and off behind Gaga for years. And then the OGs Ian, Victor, Christine, Sloan, Montana, Graham, China, Kevin, Tamina, Shazar ( and probably one or two more I'm forgetting) were all in the Stupid Love Video. 

2 - I don't believe there is ageism going on, in Gagas haus anyway, when the oldest haus members are in a place of prestige, front and center, right behind the singer. And these same members have been with Gaga going on 13 yrs now. Having said that, I would be surprised some "age out" or are just seen less frequently.

Dancers are a unique mix of artist and athlete. That means the pace and grind of back-to-back tours and shows are not sustainable. At some point,  you have to make a decision to slowdown, pivot career tracks, or both. Like all physical pop stars, Gaga will have to/has been facing these decisions as well.   Dancers move on and squads change up. They always do.....

3 -yes. They switched worlds, so Ariana got Ian and Kevin to underscore that I think. Also think Ari coming into Gaga s world and all the dancers  be under one choreographer was the easiest play.

 

I'm excited to see how the old guards moves within the gays if they don't move on. Graham seems to have been Richys asst for a while. The other OGs are always backing up auditions at leading small groups on set. What I gathered from the captions of pics from the Stupid Love shoot on IG. It seems the tribe the OG dancers were in, were the group they helped lead. Like literal troop leaders.😁
