ARTPOP is my least favorite album, but it was the most memorable era

Been a fan since LoveGame; stan since Alejandro.  My personal Gaga Trilogy is TFM, BTW and AP.  And AP is one of my favorites.  It is an "F U" to the man, music industry, societal norms, love, sexuality, drugs, expectations, etc.  It really woke me up during my process of understanding the world at large in my early 20's.  Her queerest album, imho.

I know I am. :bradley:

I edited my reply to say "most unique" would've been more appropriate, because ofc TFM was the best and for everyone in the GP.  But, I, as an individual fan think the ARTPOP era was.... different.

The (undeniably) fake demos were the most annoying thing ever. And I still remember everyone here was like "yesss they are trueee!! 1!1!!"

Anyways I don't think it's the most memorable Gaga era: tfm and BTW were more memorable, literally everyone talked about the looks and stuff. I know some people that still don't know she put out a record in 2013

I kinda enjoyed the fake demos.  Like it was obvious they were fake, but this fandom made some great bops with those fakes

I can't at people saying it's the most memorable era. Maybe it is for them because that's when they became a fan?

Otherwise the entire Born This Way era, and even the run up to it during TFM takes the cake.

Don't make me say it again!

It was the most ambitious. And even if she couldn’t carry everything out, it was still so fun to follow

Like our fave was literally gonna perform in space:air:

It’s a great album!! Unfortunately, part of me also associates it with a time that was really stressful and traumatic for me. But that’s only part of me, I still listen to the album a good amount!

It used to be my favorite but that era and album have aged terribly. It's not even a fun era it just seems angry.

I loved everything about the era, from swinefest, the TV performances, the album and singles, and artRAVE.  All amazing, imo.

I live outside the space time continuum.

ARTPOP is a total skip. Even Gaga doesn’t remember it sh*t.

Edit: The way y’all get triggered. :ladyhaha:

I hate to agree... it was so exciting and so promising. And it fell completely flat. I only really like 5 songs on the album, the rest should've never been released.
