I get *why* I just find it with the falsetto to be a hair too much in the cheese territory. The other verse there about sculptors or whatever is great, though. The verses in general sound so nice here in traditional balladry.

Im not a fan of the album version. But I'm obsessed with the piano version. For me, It feels more fit on piano.
Helix 1,456
I think the album version is way better, the chorus feels kind of clunky in the piano version. Plus a full on ballad would’ve felt way out of place on Chromatica
SLAG 7
The album verions hit way deeper. I like the piano version but hate that she sings “flying like two thousand; ten thousand”. And I love the repetitive “oo oo oooves” in the album version SO much.
farfromtheshallow 57
The lyrics and tone of the song just doesn't lend itself to a dance track to me. I think that is my struggle with the album version.
zerojk 4,923
This one is much better, it could have been the speechless or you and i from Chromatica if they added the extra lyrics from the final version, but they said “nO BalAdZ AlLouD”
Mr S 8,477
The piano version is better but yeah that 2000, 10000 lyric is cringe.

TheOriginalOne 9,940
The album version is the only song on Chromatica I skip. Piano version is so much better
migamiga 12,101
I honestly love both versions just the same. But piano version does hit different
