were those district managers going on TV every day talking about spreading kindness too?

don't know why some of y'all are trying to defend this vile woman like she's paying you. you don't have to be hitler or trump level bad to be a bad and horrid person smh

Do you really want me to answer that question? Have you never seen commercials before? All of corporate america is like this :laughga:

I’m not defending her but I can turn that question back on you, why is it only a problem when Ellen does it and not when literally millions of other people do it?

Terrible behavior coming from men has become so normalized that we are pretty desensitized to it. So when a woman - and a gay woman at that - is revealed to be problematic, the homophobic, misogynistic dog piling starts. I wonder how many people are truly “outraged” by these never ending and relatively tame stories about Ellen. It reads as an opportunity to crucify a gay person and it’s pretty gross. :yennefer:

Inb4 “her sexuality and gender have nothing to do with it!!11!1 Stop politicizing it!!111” They have everything to do with it. :bear:

You're right.

Maybe the bowl thing was because she is vegan and there are bowls that aren't used for vegan stuff, so she didn't want cross-contamination? I don't know, but you're definitely right about everything.

You should call people out on their mistakes, however small, so it doesn't set a precedent for the other workers (thinking of the wrong bathroom here, for example). It's easy in a big company for these things to escalate out of control.

If they had worse complaints about Ellen, I'm sure they would lead with that.

Either way, people will still jump in the bandwagon without CONFIRMED sources to attack her, because that's how the whole celebrity thing works. You raise them up to tear them down, and then see them being reborn just to be knocked down once more. And that's just entertainment to people who like to pretend they're above all these situations.

If this is true, I hope that people who were actually victims in this situation are well and supported now. But I won't take sides until there's actual proof of anything.

Yup. I agree with all this

Just an fyi tho she's not vegan anymore so that wouldn't explain the bowl thing. She could of had a legit reason but she could of also just be being a diva. Success rich people can be picky with weird stuff so that one kinda stood out to me as trivial and extra if true

But the rest of the stuff she mentioned seemed like reasonable stuff to call out and if this was the worst stuff I would not call this abuse

This is my experience. I recently started a new job and asked what people thought about Ellen being canceled and they didn't even know she was "canceled".

Ellen: *gets called out for her shítty behavior*

50% of gays online: she’s the devil, let’s cancel her

The other 50%: who cares? We should let her mistreat people because I’ve seen worse!

lol why is this so entertaining? :billie:

Chromatican

She’s obviously a sadist. I always thought she gave off a rude vibe when watching her show. Don’t understand why her show is so popular, she is no Oprah Winfrey. Even The Tyra Show outsold Ellen.

This is getting ri-damn-diculous.  A coordinated take-down of a public figure with “too much” of a voice in our society.  Ellen is someone who has had the ear of dem and repub women for a while and is VERY influential.  If you don’t think this has something to do with this, you need to wake up.
