Um I think he's just trying to sound like Nicki which isn't offensive the last time I checked :neyde:

Tbh it kinda is, he's a white man mimicking a black woman's voice when black folk have been oppressed + prejudiced for they they speak, breathe, act, etc.

But he's just trying to sound like Nicki though, he's not trying to make a mockery of a race, that's just how Nicki raps. @Twitter What do you think about this?

Talking about the fact that a white, gay man is rapping in a blaccent to be funny. It feels like 50% or more of white gays have substituted the “sassy black woman” persona in the place of finding a personality of their own. It’s fetishizing but honestly it feels and sounds like a mockery most of the time.

I think he's just trying to sound like Nicki.

He's just trying to mimic Nicki's voice to make it sounds legit I guess... It's not that deep

This is just for fun !

I’m a big champion of fighting cultural appropriation and respecting cultural boundaries. However, this isn’t copying just a blanket black person’s voice and acting as if all black persons sounds like that. This is someone mimicking a famous person who has a very unique sound. It’s no different than a white man impersonating Barack Obama, they have a specific way of speaking.

Don’t mock someone for trying to start a discussion on potential racial insensitivities.

Making everything about race drowns the conversation in white noise... People really should know what battles are worth fighting for if they want to fix anything.

Nearly everything, at least in the US, can be boiled down to race, though. Especially in a country that was build in the backs of others based on their race.
