Sour Candy needs to be a single

Agreed, I wish it was a single already though and the MV came out when the album dropped. The black pink girls could have been a tribe, or each of them representing a tribe. Sigh.

I think there's no point in making it a single now lol

The hype it had died already

If anything give it a MV to get a cute boost :vegas:

Her most watched audio video is still Million Reasons (102M views), but from the album yeah

But I don't think it should be a single. I wouldn't mind but if it debuted at #33 it barely stands any chance to repeak especially now that Blackpink has already released new music

I’m hoping that it’s still going to get the treatment it deserves once The Album comes out. I doubt they’d have this huge of a collab without doing a huge video. Fingers crossed!!

Am I the only one who thinks SC can still be a single sometime late this year/early next year considering the era has to somehow sustain itself until the tour next summer and it might be a safer time for GagaxBP to get together and make a video, either by them coming to her or she going to them?

No?

I’ve actually always thought about Sour Candy becoming a single later this year with a great video. A music video with Gaga and BP would still be huge, even if released months after the album drop. If she had released both ROM and SC as singles around the same time, then people would’ve started saying that she’s only getting her success thanks to Ari and BP and is bribing views. I think it’d be a great way to start closing up the era in the future.

I know it's probably unlikely, but I'd love Sour Candy to be the third single. Way better choice than 911 :sis:

I feel this!! What happened to releasing songs as singles many months, even a year into the album campaign? Janet did 8 singles on Rhythm Nation, the last being a year and a half after the album came out. The fans just want more music much sooner these days, we need more time to explore the album concepts and stories. Gaga gave GUY a fab video and also featured several other songs to have their moment, knowing that the single might not smash and the era was at its end. But she did it because she wanted to, and for the fans.

It’s more difficult now with the streaming era, since people can quickly listen to the songs they want to. They want new music faster and get tired of songs quicker. That’s why a lot of artists have ditched releasing albums, and started releasing stand alone singles, to appeal to the GP more and get more streams. Only devoted fans are interested in long eras and visuals and have the patience for that. Some of us are already craving for LG7. It’s sad, but it’s the world we’re living in now.
