Weight doesn't have a direct correlation to health for everyone. I eat like a pig, way worse than she probably has in her entire life and I'm only 16, yet I weigh only 125 pounds at 5'11". I don't know why people are so concerned with her looks, but I'm 100% positive she eats a relatively healthy lifestyle (outside of maybe the alcohol lol). There's a difference between criticism/concern and bullying. You can have your opinion, but if you have nothing nice to say... Well you know the phrase. To remain neutral, one needs to compare the possible positive and negative outcomes. Do you really think people are going on a witch hunt on an Internet forum? They are just upset and feel empathy for Gaga, the one this site draws people who usually aim to support as fans was sad from some fans talking about her weight, criticizing her from a superficial place, not just being critical of her work. Let us not use neutrality as an excuse for apathy. i'm not the type of person who puts their faith in something just because i've got nothing to lose. i think it's wise to remain neutral about things like lady gaga queen of pop being upset by what a few fans said in some place at some time, because i don't have to waste my time on such a non pressing matter. that's what we've all got to lose by not remaining neutral. precious time and thoughts. i don't suggest anyone inflame themselves about this. i can be neutral and say that it sucks that another human being is upset. then i move on. she doesn't need coddling, and if she did, this isn't the place (but then you could bring up that "why not" thing again, and we'd go in circles) do i really think people are going on a witch hunt? i'm specifically referring to those in this thread quote mining negative comments and calling out colors. who has time for that? urgh. i really don't think it's being apathetic. i'm not apathetic to people calling her fatty - those people are idiots. artists getting that involved in what their fans say rubs me the wrong way. forums are a place for expressing your opinions (but please don't mistake me saying that for me implying a free-for-all - i don't condone any mindless bashing and i haven't commented on her weight ever) and that's hindered when the thought police are out. now big brother (or mother) is supposedly watching. and the effects are clear when you get people speaking directly to her. it all just rubs me the wrong way and that's how i feel. :) Edited November 9, 2012 by garnite Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

You know what, I actually envy her, because she still has the confidence to flaunt her (s-xy) body even while having to endure those criticisms pertaining to her weight.
