HotLikeMexico 5,194
I'm sure many of you have noticed that Gaga has an interesting way of singing and pronouncing the word "love" in her songs. From Bad Romance, Stupid Love, to Perfect Illusion, they have become some of the catchiest/stand out parts of the songs. I personally LOVE how she sings it in some of her songs. It's so fun to sing them out loud sometimes. Which songs/tracks have your favorite pronunciation of "love"? Here are some examples: Bad Romance: "I want your love" Perfect Illusion: "It wasn't love" Stupid love: "All I ever wanted was love" 1000 Doves: "If you love me then just set me free LAHHHHVVEEE
Gypsy18 70
I really dislike how she over enunciates “love” in Perfect Illusion and Stupid Love lol , but they’re still great songs! I just wish sometimes she would just say the word more effortlessly if that makes sense haha

I get the PI part but she doesn't do it in SL? Isn't it just "I want your stupid love-love"? Also in PI it's an elongated vocal to go with the melody. The whole chorus vocal is stretched to fit around the melody, like a rubber band, if that makes sense? [Phonetically] It wasn't laaaahhv It was a paaahfect illuuusshaaahhnn Edit: I just realized it's about the love in the SL pre-chorus, not the chorus "I was protected by the monks of Azarath, I was raised by my friends. They are my family, this is my home and you are not welcome here."
SLAG 7
It's more like "Lave" for her

I realized it after posting that you and they were referring to the "love" in the pre-chorus not the chorus. Edited my post now. Yeah, it's fun and interesting tbh, how you can sing a word in different ways, sometimes obnoxious too, and still make it feel like it fits right in the song "I was protected by the monks of Azarath, I was raised by my friends. They are my family, this is my home and you are not welcome here."

Enzo 37,977
When she enunciates "love" weirdly in SL so it sounds like "I want just to be loved" 툭 까보면 어김없이 소리질러와

Glamourpuss 29,062
I like that it's become her signature. It adds some new depth to the word love and makes it stand out more. My favourite is when she says "all I ever wanted was love". The way she sings it makes it feel like a genuine emotion, like she feels love on a deep level and has a genuine yearning for it. MACATL 1,544
It drives me crazy and ruined both Stupid Love and her cover of Elton’s “Your Song.” She sounds like a high school choir student singing a solo when she does that.
