Andreu 37,216
Following the footsteps of Drake, who posted a picture eating pasta from the Spotify plaque, Diplo posted a picture of him using the plaque that certifies that Cold Water crossed 1000M streams on spotify as a plate. I know he tries to be funny and that's his style but I feel like they should show gratitude (or at least respect) to their audience when they show they received these plaques Spoiler Disgusting

Retron 2,605
About all it's worth. A friend of mine is a regionally successful country singer and his earnings from a few million streams on Spotify are 💩. I like streaming. It's personally convenient to me. But it kind of seems like a raw deal for artists.
StrawberryBlond 14,881
This is just silly and disrespectful now. I can't stand stupid trends and when it shows disrespect, it's even worse. It's a real display of arrogance to do something like that. I don't even think they know what it is they're trying to convey. It looks like a plate, you can eat off it? It's so worthless it doesn't deserve to be preserved correctly? Whatever it is, I'd be annoyed if I were Spotify. But who knows, maybe they're paying for them to do this for promo? Plot twist! 2 minutes ago, likeitrough said: diplo??? 1000 million???? That song was huge, though. Though I didn't realise quite how huge. I'm still thrown at the fact that Marshmello has over 48 million YouTube subscribers. Seriously, he has two top ten hit, his albums flat-out don't sell (he sells so little you can't actually find his album sales) and who actually goes around calling themselves a Marshmello fan? If this isn't proof that numbers can be artificially inflated, I don't know what will. I don't for a minute believe all these hotshot producers are anywhere near as big as they claim. They're not on the level of actual singers.
