But he's the wrong person to be complaining about it, if he weren't a singer, his de-platforming would be a matter of course with no controversy whatsoever. He's obviously mad that Big Sean released his album this week too, which is getting better reception. He really thought he'd be the only rapper releasing and that he'd be the biggest name, so he'd stand a chance at #1. But honestly, competitive week or not, he's really not an album seller. His first album debuted at #2 with 66k (only 10k were pure sales). Even with a #1 single this time around, I don't hold out much hope for better, Taylor's still on top. It's a mercy that award shows are also giving him a wide berth. I hope they've learned their lesson after supporting abusers like Chris Brown. The public don't want to see trash like this advertised and praised by the media. If artists like this are allowed to make music, at the very least they should be given no promo or awards nominations, which seems to be the case here.
