Not liking 911 or its chorus =/= not wanting Gaga to evolve.

What a lot of people don't understand is that even if someone doesn't think it's the best or that it doesn't fit the song that well doesn't mean that they don't like it :ladyhaha:

Your opinion is wrong if you're saying that they said that they didn't enjoy it:neyde:

i agree. it's a very 2020-esque song which is why it'd be a good single

the stans stuck in 2010 pop can't see this :lana:they might be better off shipping Katy Perry if they want an artist who doesn't evolve

Why the extreme jump :ladyhaha:

Are people not allowed to dislike what they dislike without others telling them that they're "stuck in 2010"? :ladyhaha:

if gaga had swapped ARTPOP and Chromatica, each would've done significantly better.

the GP wasn't ready for ARTPOP in 2013, whereas Chromatica is a bit too safe for 2020.

Chromatica is inspired by 80s/90s house, but it still sounds fundamentally like late 2000s/early 2000s pop music for me. SL, ROM, and FW would have SMASHED if they were singles in 2010-2014. Nowadays? no way

911, on the other hand, is much more in line with the Billie Eilish/Dua Lipa-esque pop that's popular now.

Okay.....

But if someone doesn't like it, then they don't like it. Just because something is more contemporary doesn't mean anything. It's still subjective as to whether or not it's good or bad.

I'd say that maybe 911 sounds Billie Eilish-ish, but certainly not Dua Lipa.

i'm not talking about taste. if somebody like 1980s-esque music, that isn't a dig – they'd probably like Blinding Lights.

And of course it's subjective, that goes without saying lol. All music taste is subjective.

But whether it's more contemporary or not does mean something – 911 is a better single choice than FW because it's more contemporary. Free Woman sounds like a 2011 single.
