The song that started Katy’s decay

If you remember what happened back in 2017.

Her haircut was only partial to what tore her career.

This song blew it all. Why? Because of Migos. They were real hot back then but also known for being homophobic. So instead of having a hit from a popular trio it did the opposite for Katy. This was when it all started. Imagine if it turned out to be the Ariana collab it was rumored to be, she would’ve been in a much different place now.

Nah, it was Rise :bear:

Edit: to be fair, This Is How We Do didn't go very well either, maybe it was that

Didn't Chained To The Rhythm underperform compared to her previous singles?

Yeah but it was still a top 5 hit.

It was Birthday.

I believe she’ll come back strong one day, though.

It was really Chained to the Rhythm

I mean it was a Top 5 hit.

She could’ve continued with another song and I bet she’d get another Top 10

It can be traced back to Birthday really.

It wasn’t her decay tho #17 is understandable for a fourth single.

Bon Appetit is something she neve recovered from. She furthered the damage with Swish Swish

I still don't understand why Katy went with Birthday in a universe where Legendary Lovers exist

I mean, she had number one back to back. Anything less was a flop for her. This was her lead.

The question is what song started her decline. Not which some was a moderate hit. CTTR song started her decline.

And she did continue with another song. Bon appétit and Swish Swish. :spin:
