Tyler Joseph (TØP) dragged for mocking BLM messaging campaign

Same people that think this wasn’t insensitive are the same ones that make jokes about Beyoncé being illiterate and that Gaga should’ve been singing about “at least I’m alive” while her home city set up makeshift morgues in the streets.

this is not the site I come to to expect people to understand nuance or how belittling the BLM movement is an irresponsible thing. moreover I think international fans give literal no ****s about America (and that’s absolutely fine but it’s about anti blackness not caring about America) and think that the biggest victims in 2020 were them because Gaga delayed an era and then didn’t promote it to let more important voices prevail

Queen Bitch

He should have been cancelled as soon as he started using "ø" in his band name. It's an actual letter, "twenty øne piløts" makes no sense:grr:

This is just dumb and insensitive.

I hate all of yall. This isn't about BLM anymore. This is straight up cancel culture.  The last time Twentyone pilots was brought up on this site was when they released Trench. #ATrenchIsBorn. Literally none of this **** mattered until someone decided to get sensitive over a joke. Now all of yall are suddenly against twentyone pilots and hate their music and have always known what **** people they are. No. It's about your little time in the spotlight mr or ms "look at me I'm all for BLM but only when it looks good on me" bullshit. Nobody cares about the actual movement anymore. Its just another hashtag to yall,  to make yall look good. End rant.

What is the brand of those platforms and why is the brand deemed racist?

I can't tell by the post and aren't a fan of the band, so don't care enough to look into it further.

The "joke" is indeed offensive and passive aggressive wannabe edge-lord. Grow up boys, don't be insensitive. Do it legit or not at all.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

I think it's Dolls Kill

- Social media users are coming together to boycott the fast fashion brand Dolls Kill after its owner, Shoddy Lynn, took to Instagram to post a video response to some of her company’s behavior over the last couple of years. In the wake of the Black Lives Matter protests that have erupted around the world, Lynn posted on Instagram in solidarity with the police that were, at the time, attacking and detaining protestors around Los Angeles.

-  In the past, it’s faced boycotts for cultural appropriation, stealing designs from black artists and even selling articles of clothing that suggest an allegiance to white nationalist groups, as well as romanticizing things like rape with articles of clothing that say things like “Goth Is White” or “Dead Girls Can’t Say No.”

- In 2014 the company began to garner negative attention from media outlets like Huffington Post after it sold a Native American headdress as part of its Halloween collection.

-The brand is known for its edgy fashion and rave-wear and has earned a sort of cult following among a demographic of early 2000’s misfits that once shopped at Hot Topic (and maybe still do).
