What's with you and double standards? I believe that when u make rules and promote them as necessary, you should at least respect them. That's the story here. I assume that a lot of people in California want to go to a hair salon, but they cant because it is prohibited and supported by people in power like her. I absolutely agree with you here, but in a country where the president openly tries to legitimize a 17 year old killing two protestors I find it hard to see the big scandal in this. But I am not surprised that hypocrisy strikes again. There are a lot of threads here about people who dont wear masks or dont respect the measures and they are crucified daily. But when a person liked by the same people is caught doing the same things, the excuses are starting to show up. And of course, the off topic attacks. Stop with the hypocrisy. I checked multiple sources, and she doesn’t seem to have a good answer for why she removed her mask or was violating the city mandate. I’m on the left, but I’m with Gaga: Someone’s status doesn’t mean they don’t have to follow the rules. And it wasn’t even for a haircut or a dye job, but simply a blowout. Totally unnecessary. We can be upset by both. I'm progressive and abhor Trump and his cronies, and I'm upset by anyone not wearing a mask in public. It's important to hold Pelosi and other Democrats accountable, or we look like hypocrites. I live in a state with a governor who's been fairly strict concerning lockdowns and mask mandates – thank God – but there were a couple of times earlier this summer where my governor came across as a hypocrite, as though the governor and the governor's family were "above" these mandates, and all it did was give fuel to the right and to the people who think covid is a hoax and is simply a front to control people. There are plenty of anti-masking, covid-deniers who will look at this footage and say, See, the left is just trying to control the masses; even they don't practice what they preach. Covid is a hoax. This doesn't mean I'm not infuriated that Trump and many Republicans refuse to wear masks in public, or that the RNC crowded thousands of unmasked people together without physical distancing. And I'm more upset by the murder of young unarmed black people in our society and the various terrible things Trump and his administration are doing than Pelosi getting her hair done in violation of the city's mandate and taking off her mask, but that doesn't mean I'm giving her a free pass, either.
