Witness? Growth where exactly? :oprah:

Katy actually sang about things other than love and sex.. you know... "purposeful pop." 😆 Problem is, she did it during a very controversial time and her image/promo was very strange and awkward.

Witness was tryhard chart features and generic sounds that differed a bit from TD and Prism but there was no big change that was really positive and thats why people didn’t like Witness :yennefer:

I'm convinced that part of Witness' failure was that it was horribly mixed/mastered, along with terrible single choices and videos. I literally felt so uncomfortable watching Bon Appetit and Swish Swish's videos. They were so cringeworthy.

When I listened to Witness on a good sound system with HD Audio, it actually sounded pretty good. Most of the album though is flat sounding and it takes away the energy. Think about how the sound pops on released from The Weeknd, Drake, Doja.

Smile isn’t a bad album, but it is pretty boring. I love Katy, I wish her happiness with her daughter, and I really hope that this album can give her all of the healing she says it has, but it probably is her worst album imo.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.
