Focz 1,765
I'm really confused, I saw that last year the principal show had 1.9 million viewers, then I saw that it had 4 million, then someone told me that they were mixing the views of the pre-show. And now they say this but at the same time they are saying that last year the show had fewer viewers đ

Fresco 1,688
MTV is a comedy network. I don't understand why they still do a vma, but have thrown music videos under the bus for their regular programming.  I wouldn't have even known about the vma show if it weren't talked about on this site. Their regular programming sucks fart fumes. It was an awesome vma show though! The moonmen are so cute with the spinny flag.

With people at home and consuming much more home-based entertainment because of Covid, it should have meant a higher audience for the VMAs, which didnât happen, even with BTS and Gaga there, who very significant fanbases. But oh well, I really think fandom in general should stop seeking validation in these sort of things. In the end, it really doesnât matter.
LaLuna 12,732
I honestly don't give a crap about the ratings. We got to see Gaga give her first and possibly only Chromatica performance, it was amazing, she slayed, what more can you ask for? Honestly, if it wasn't for Gaga I wouldn't even have known the VMAs were airing, that's how little I care about that show.

I don't know why this fanbase suddenly thinks so highly of it just because gaga performed. Literally no one thinks highly of the VMAs We think highly of Gaga and her performance and we enjoy the bragging rights for the number of awards she got so that we can trigger other fanbases on Twitter
thehanyo 4,251
Hey guys-- Cable is losing about 15-17% of viewership on average across all nets year-over-year. Getting a -5% is what we call "beating the market."
