Obviously Sarah isn’t going to confirm the third single in an IG convo, LOL. She shouldn’t have said anything though, because now it’s going to be used against her as ‘lying’ when it’s released...

Haha right, like what do people think she’d say? “It’s the next single but shhh don’t tell anyone, it’s a secret” :ladyhaha:

reality’s tight if the music is right

“shut your mouth” :triggered:

I do want her singles to perform well but I can have an opinion of which song I would like to be a single.

Sorry I regret saying that, I meant it in a playful way but now it just sounds mean :derpga:

Chances are any single will flop badly. Third singles don't do well in streaming when released much later than the album, it's Gaga and her relationship with GP/radio, plus it's theme and lyrics are dark.

But the video potential is there, and it's a fresh and edgy sound for her to remind the Public that she was the pop star that would push the envelope and go further. Stuff like Free Woman is safer but it would flop just as bad so why not go with more of a statement.

But it's quarantine: Media consumption patterns have changed in a way that screws up reliable indicators. What defines a flop when the public is this thirsty and bored? When a random tiktok can set off a wave of re-discovering/re-appreciation streaming that brings entire catalogs back onto the charts (monthly)? Artists have been releasing whatever bc what more "optimal" time are they waiting for? The audience is captive.
