I’m sure most people outside the U.S. don’t know or care about Karrueche, Blac China or Amber Rose. Can we not just be happy for her? Why is she not the right image? They support numerous designers, photographers and stylists who have had numerous allegations of bullying, racism and sexual assault yet they seem to have a problem with artists who are not to there taste. Edward Enninful has done a complete 180 with UK Vogue and made the magazine relevant and fresh again, yet nothing he ever does seem to be enough to the people on that forum. Many of the members glorify the old guard. They fear change and feel like fashion can only be defined in the narrow, outdated lens they see it in. Edward, no matter what he’ll do won’t please them. They don’t realize that culture moves on, and not everything will stay as how they like it. Maybe because it gives them a sense of superiority. Fashion sometimes can still be vapid and insincere even when it’s trying to be aware of its surroundings, I get that. However it should always start somewhere to move forward. These people won’t, and sad to say many of them still call the shots or hold the purse. Until this generation fully matures and takes control of the narrative beyond a hype purchase of a Balenciaga sneaker or a Gucci belt, not much will change. It’ll still go there, but slowly. She also made interesting choices with her fashion that I’m inclined to think that she likes it more than just being fancy. Her style might not be up for everyone’s taste but I think there’s a place for it.

I myself am a fan of the older times in fashion, Alexander McQueen by Lee, John Galliano for Dior, Karl Lagerfeld and Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton. However i understand that fashion is going through a HUGE change right now and to appeal to a younger generation is the main priority right now If anything they should appreciate Gaga for having an eye for archived pieces and bring the eccentricity to fashion at a moment when it is missing. Unfortunately a lot of them are Madonna fans who they see as the best even though she hasn't turned a good look or made a good album in years (not trying to start that argument again though lol)

I can’t express how much I loved Dior during the Hedi/John era, Marc’s LV or how Gucci was when Tom Ford was there but we have to move forward and fashion does not exist in its own bubble anymore. Have you seen the thread about Cardi’s last cover? There were tons of comments about how Nicki is better or did everything first. She gets treated like Gaga in relation to Madonna but this time it’s Nicki they’re pitting against.

Yeah, i saw the hate that Cardi B got for her cover and i really don't understand why? Nicki has had loads of covers over the past few years and I'm sure she'll get a lot more after she gives birth.
