We all know that the SMILE era is an era filled with disappointments and coincided with some of the worst things that happened in recent human history (ie. the lockdown, disasters, the Changes album), so here I am... remaking the Smile era.

LEAD SINGLE: NEVER REALLY OVER (May 31, 2019)

- INSTANT radio promotion
- festival concerts
- Coca Cola Sessions
- first televised performance: SNL
- promo ends August 15
- playlisting on Spotify

SECOND SINGLE: Harleys' In Hawaii (August 31, 2019)
- music video premiere
- INSTANT radio promotion
- iTunes problem solved instantly
- first televised performance: Today Show
- VMAs performance together with NRO
- promo ends October 4th

THIRD SINGLE: Only Love (Oct 25, 2019)
- music video premiere
- INSTANT radio promotion
- BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge performance (acoustic)
- NPR Tiny Desk concert
- AMAs performance
- Jingle Bell concert
- promo ends January 10

ADD ON: Never Worn White (March 5, 2020)
- one special performance
- music video
- just a pregnancy announcement

FOURTH SINGLE: Daisies (April 3, 2020)
Performances:
- Good Morning America
- Class of 2020
- American Idol

where is small talk :billie:

i understand she probably finished Tucked & CAIL at the end of last year or this year but if one of those two followed shortly after NRO, we'd have a different era outcome imo :vegas:

this is a much better plan:pray: fans doing the most!

unfortunately it’s not realistic bc katy even said she had zero plans of releasing Smile (“KP5”) till 2021, however due to the pandemic and some left over songs she never released as droplet singles, she decided to release an album. regardless, i LIVE for this concept you’ve made!

honestly the album should’ve come out late 2019/early 2020 like your plan suggests. i guess she wanted to release it the same time as the birth of Daisy, miraculously giving birth a day before album release :nooo:

I'd keep it as it was EXCEPT I'd not make Small Talk a single and I wouldn't even include the song Smile on the album (or I would, cause if it's in my world, and it would sound different). And Cry About It later would become a single some time before the album release, because it's the best song of the album and it would build up the hype greatly :vegas:

First single - Never Really Over

Second single - Cry About It Later

Third single - Harleys In Hawaii

Fourth single - Only Love

Fifth single - Never Worn White

The album - Its title would be changed to What Makes A Woman. The cover would be something much more traditionally beautiful with no circus theme. Tucked would be put on the deluxe (I know some of you like it but I really don't) as would Teary Eyes. They'd be replaced with High On Your Supply and Never Worn White (which would be the second-last track). What Makes A Woman would have been extended to at least 2:50.
