The electronic light-up mask is of course perfect for this era, since it looks like it displayed sine waves when it registered her voice.

The mask with the tusks is my personal fave though. It's mutant-y and horror-y and dark and a great contrast to the beautiful happy ball gown. That contrast is seen in much of the art for Chromatica (the world), with weird growths and organs entwined with a fun colorful world, and is just in theme with Gaga overall (putting a 'weird' or 'ugly' or outrageous twist on something classically beautiful or sexy to elevate it and say "eff your expectations").
