Is the "3" on the TV during the VMA performance an easter egg?

Because, before the performance (00:00), it just says "3". But right after her performance, as she goes back into her room, the "3" starts flickering (09:00), is it a sine?  

What could it be? 3 days til something new? Single #3? September 3rd?
