The Stupid Love piano segment was the best. And I actually enjoyed 911 more than Rain On Me. But I have to say that the whole performance seemed rushed to me :(

I think 911 wasnt the best choice to open with. I'm sure it sounded off/odd to people who never heard the song before.

Also the mask was sooooo bothersome to me. Not the fact that she wore one, I understand why she did. That particular one was just too large for her face in MY opinion.

I would love 911 to have a live vocoder effect and robotic 'fembot' choreo.

I would love for her to do something else other than the hand movements during Rain On Me.

I would love for her to not oversing on the piano.

I would love for her to give more thought on the punk persona she puts on when giving monologues.

there was nothing wrong with 911.  She sang it live and without the obvious vocal effects, but for some reason may fans seem unwilling to allow her some artistic interpretation and change for live arrangement.  Not everything has to sound exactly like the record.  I for one think 911 was better with that arrangement and more interesting vocally.

When will fans just sit back and enjoy the music and performance for what it is. Let this woman have fun and sing it the way she wants to.

She looked the best she has since the beginning of the ASIB era. Her makeup and hair were actually amazing and I was shocked at how gorgeous her looks were overall. The team really pulled it out! The performance though was far from her best for me. Definitely better than some but far from what she could have done. It looked unpolished and not up to the professional production quality of some of the others. It always seems to be the case with her though that when she blows it out of the water in one aspect another is always sub par. I don't get how her fashion and hair and makeup and even vocals can be flawless and then the production be so lackluster. I'm not even going to speak on the choreo because Richy Jackson has been the weakest link of the Haus for years. His contributions are worse than her hairline 90% of the time.

That’s an issue I have. She aces one aspect completely, 100%, and then a completely unpolished side is also there. It was a good performance, but a lot more could have been done to make it look flawless. I won’t comment on the choreography (even though I agree) because I know she struggles with fibromyalgia. I will however critique the production value.

My favourite part of the night was honestly her acceptance speeches, those looks were everything. Pure Gaga, pure high fashion, just incredible.

911 vocals remind me of early 2009 Gaga, just like she would sing Poker Face. I do agree that it didn't sound so well live but still better than ROM.

Cavadour

First live performance of Chromatica songs ever. In the middle of a pandemic. Everybody needs time to adjust. I am some sort of a performer myself and my first gig of 2020 will be next saturday. I spent eight months confined, octopussing under a blanket, wolfing down candies and coffee and bingeing tv shows. Now since a week, i'm working out for my next show, rehearsing and trying to get at my usual level. Believe me, it has NEVER been so HARD. I'm not ready yet and I feel kinda nervous...

So, stop splitting hairs. Gaga's did her best again and it shows, even through the slight imperfections... Don't be more royalist than the Queen !

Late to the party but I got a diamond heart

Idk wtf y’all are talking about but 911 slayed and I rewatched it over and over again last night because I LOVED IT. The only part I thought sounded SLIGHTLY weird is when she started “I can’t see me cry” but it was fine anyways.
Best performance of the night. The atmosphere during Rain On Me was gorgeous.

I'm not saying that it has to sound like the record. Infact, one of the things that makes a Gaga performance 'Gaga' is that every time she performs, its different and unique which allows for the song to take on a different meaning sometimes. Perfect Illusion is a great example... we know the studio hard-hitting song. But when she performed it on Sukkiri in Japan, it suddenly became this melancholy gut-wrenching ballad. Its one of the things that I enjoy most about a Gaga live performance.

My issue with 911's live performance yesterday was that it just sounded awful. The monotonous tone of the verse/chorus just doesn't sound good live. Was she on key? No idea... she may as well have spoken the lines. She also seemed to be out of breath which effected the pre-chorus.

The monotonous/robotic vibe of the song might be fine on the record, but for a live performance it just doesn't work. Maybe if she actually sang the lines and not been so monotonous? Idk... but it just seemed off.

End Racism Now
