Honest opinion of Gaga's VMA performance

Her vocals are not the best, but I think the visuals are awesome and she is mostly on pitch. It's just that the damn mask is messing up her voice a lot

Hmmm, how do you know she had autotune in ROM? That part when Gaga said something to Ari bothers me so much just because it messed up their timings (and that silence)... :awkney:

And about 911, honestly the choreo is way too fast for a song like that. It should be a simple "robotic" choreo that would be easy to do while singing it. :icega:

You can hear it in the vocals, especially on the chorus. It took the vibrato away and smoothed it out. Someone said that there was a mic/synthesiser in the mask so that could be why.

This took a lot of takes, and she still had enormous pain if I have to believe her instagram stories and posts. Am I the only that gets quite sad when realizing this is probably the most that she can deliver and that a NA/Europe tour we're used to is not in the cards anymore?

I absolutely loved the SL live performance even though I wasn't a big fan of the song before. I find it even more sad that it couldn't get a proper promotion performance and rounds due to COVID.

meh....it was a decent pop performance, nothing more and nothing less.  in my opinion, i feel like conceptually lady gaga has been lacking in the last few years.  her live performances used to add a whole new layer of meaning and symbolism to her songs.  i didn't really see any of that and haven't seen it in quite a while.  no doubt, she commands the stage and executes her choreo flawlessly, to me it just seemed like another pop performance
