If Gaga posted 'I was wearing face shields before it was a thing' with pictures of her in the previous years wearing face shields, it would add more context to her post. Instead, she just posted a picture of her from today wearing a face shield. Wearing a face shield today does not prove that she was wearing face shields 'before it was a thing'
