As others have said, this happens to every pop star that doesn't evolve. Good will and a great catalogue will only get you so far.

Still, she just had a new baby, has a hot partner, and makes bank over at AI. She'll be just fine.

Galagala

She can still move on or maybe go on top again. She is still Katy Perry.

But at least her fans can finally learn to be humble and stop taunting Gaga. They're so quiet lately on social media, which is great and relieving.

I mean, what’s happened to her is kinda sad and surprising but who really cares in the end? She’s in her mid 30s, just started a family and will forever be on of the biggest pop stars of our generation. She had a long and impressive imperial phase. Besides, nobody in 10, 20, 50 years or even now, will know numbers and charts outside of stan culture.

What I don’t get is why is it that females decline after they hit 30 and have to always change their sound and top themselves to be relevant while males can push out the same sounding songs for decades ( ie drake) and still be widely popular.

I’m curious as to how much higher her numbers may have been pre pandemic?

I think Drake has been declining too in terms of charts and sales over the past year, it's just not prominently evident because he's still talked figures, over social media and such, which is sad for katy I haven't heard her for a while, but I guess it's because r&b / rap is still huge, while pop are declining. I mean where is Bruno Mars? He's not talked about either. For the Weeknd, he can be categorized as r&b, and he's still talked over

Ariana is a popstar, but she changes her sound and creates more hype so she's talked about everywhere, idk...for me gender is definitely issue, but not so much that it is evidently defines this whole topic

Would you rather her work with a rapist? :oprah:

Didn’t mean that. I just think she was a better artist with him. They made great music together

Drake already has 5 top 10 hits this year and he has yet to drop his album (including a #1 and two other #2 hits). Thats not a decline to me:poot: .

Daisies #40 and Smile at #121 could be considered 'a decline' tho :poot:
