Is SL a replacement for the fact DWUW got removed from her discography?

Do you think Gaga made Stupid Love sort of as a replacement for the fact she took off DWUW feat Rkelly from ARTPOP? The sound of both songs are so similar, but DWUW never got the full single treatment because of obvious reasons... and previously she would barely revisit older sounds/style from previous albums.

before DWUW not many pop songs had that particular synth/song style since the 80s aside from Dancing With The Dead's The Deep. And the only other similar sounding song like DWUW Gaga has is Plastic Doll aside from SL

For me the only similarity is the synth in the background but otherwise the songs don't sound the same. SL doesn't come close to DWUW.

also, how is it with DWUW radio AirPlay? Is it also banned there or can radio stations spin it ?
