Honestly I don’t know if I have THAT bad of a taste but I completely loved the album from start to finish. It’s so immersive and it has such a great flow and it made me feel like I’m in a club. My guess is that people expected original tracks with few tweaks and added features which is what new “remixes” are and by definition that’s not a remix. This is a remix album. Songs sound fresh and have a new twist to them. Is it better than the original? No! But is it a good side project that people who enjoy club music could listen to? Hell yes!
