If there is one thing that works it's fear: fear of the rioting going on, fear of the lockdowns/ covid, fear of the left "taking" their guns, fear of the "other" which Trump and Fox News always promote. In addition to that, several swing state polls from PA, WI, NC, and I think FL are finally contracting and Biden is losing his lead. The most recent poll from Trayfalgar had Trump +1 in Wisconsin and that poll called the US 2016 election. You don't get to co-opt their efforts for optics when the lack of social distancing and lack of masks in your audience is putting the very people you're "thanking" at risk by potentially worsening the pandemic. I dislike that man and his cronies so very, very much. I'm disgusted he sullied the reputations of Nessun Dorma (ha! does he realize Turandot is set in China?), Hallelujah (Cohen definitely would not approve) and Ave Maria by having them performed to a gaudy fireworks display. Who knew that our descent into authoritarianism would be so gosh darn tacky? I'm livid that this Putin wannabe hijacked the White House for his "coronation." If you are a US citizen, please vote. And to bring prosperity to our forgotten inner cities, we worked hard to pass historic criminal justice reform, prison reform, opportunity zones and long-term funding of historically Black colleges and universities, and before the China virus came in, produced the best unemployment numbers for African-Americans, Hispanic Americans and Asian-Americans ever recorded. And I say very modestly that I have done more for the African-American community than any president since Abraham Lincoln, our first Republican president. And I have done more in three years for the Black community than Joe Biden has done in 47 years. And when I am re-elected, the best is yet to come.
