thehanyo 4,250 Posted August 27, 2020 Share Posted August 27, 2020 I reeeeally hate to say this, because it's not what I want AT ALL. But I think Gaga knows that her future lies in ASIB-like ballads. The older, richer, more out-of-touch she gets-- and especially with her illness-- it's going to be nearly impossible for her to release pop music that connects with younger, increasingly more diverse audiences. She can't do hip hop or R&B, so she will have to do Adele-like ballads. Chromatica was her farewell dance-pop album, and we have to accept that.
