Ugh I don't even know how to feel...I had high expectations when Daisies came out 'cause it was obviously never meant to be a hit and at least felt more honest than Hardlies in Hawaii aka one of the worst song ever by Katheryn, but who am I kidding it's the same of the same. You can pick any song from this album and put it in one of her older ones as a filler :saladga:

There's like one or two other songs that are OK after all the singles that were put out LAST YEAR and being honest this is her most forgettable album; even Witness makes you want to relisten to it but Smile...I don't think people will still be smiling after a month and that's being generous.

What if tomorrow I see you again? Should I say that I used to love you?

How much did Chromatica debut with? 80 right?

I just listened to the album and I can say (I am not a fan of KP) that it's good (7/10)
My top new songs are:
Cry about it later,
Champagne problems,
What makes a woman :bear:

Not great.

will probably end with a score between 60 - 65. C2C teas.

bare in mind, this is the poptism era where critics are very leniant to pop, espcially females. So if we were to scale that to 2013 - 18 standards it wouldn't be pretty, i can assure you

Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight

Wow, if it starts that low, it can end up in the 50s or worse 45ish :giggle:

That’s great. I hope Kety doesn’t get THAT low reviews... Is it worth listening too the album? I haven’t even heard Taylors latest

I can't believe the rating is her highest. While there may be a surprise bop-album cut here and there a few things we know:

01. Sonically, the released songs do not sound like they belong on an album together. Or, moreso, none of the released songs really sound like they belong to the title track or the circus theme.

02. This era is all over the place. Katy herself stated NRO, Small Talk, and HIH were one-off singles from her 2019 sessions and then quickly added two to the tracklist after staying that. Circus theme seemeed an after thought, not even the lead (or re-boot lead) Daisies suggested circus.

03. Weak vision. Clowns and circus have been done before, and executed better. Like I said, only one song fits the theme thus far. Most of the videos either have mid-century inspired aesthetics or 80s geometric/pastel aesthetics. One thing can be said for Katy: each era she's executed a distinct vision. Witness may have flopped, but at least it had and kept it's vision.

Just listen to it and form your own opinion, it scattered all over internet now anyway

Ugh. At least it’s her highest rated. The album imo truly is good. It’s fun! Why is it okay for other artist to make fun music yet Katy is criticized harshly for it? . Why can’t pop music just be pop music?
Anyway, I’m gonna continue enjoying the album.

If you haven't heard the singles and "non-singles" she put out before the release, you should check them out first 'cause they are the most interesting...then there's like two or three other songs that are enjoyable but you should definitely listen to the album to make your own opinion.

What if tomorrow I see you again? Should I say that I used to love you?
