Your reaction are ridiculous tbh

He doesn't have 200 bn on his bank account : this represent the value of its share in Amazon.

That just means Amazon stock is rising at a fast pace

I know they’re nor wrong or criminal or evil because they have a lot of money but if I had it, I would not be able to spend a day knowing I have money enough for generations to come while some people have nothing :messga: sometimes I feel like that and I don’t even earn 0,1% of what he’s worth

The 0.1% of his wealth is already 20 million dollars :bear:

my total earnings + savings are not even close to 0.01% of his money :fatcat:

SAME! I would definitely build a lot of charities that actually help people and doesn't profit off of it. I'd get inspired by the one Paul Walker did because it's only a small group of people working there and it's much more efficient than a huge structure, also a lot of charities are not efficient in their work, they get donations but nothing seems to improve. If you got that amount of money you can also help eradicate famine, you can help build schools, hospitals in some countries that need it etc, especially help with health issues. I'd die for this amount of money to be able to do that and see real change. Also invest in ecology. Help the poorest families who struggle even more since covid, create a better homeless shelter where they can rehabilitate themselves and help them find a job back, or build skills etc to get back on their feet etc etc

If I had that much money I'd give all my friends 1 billion each

So I'd still have 200 billion :neyde:

I truly don't understand people who defend billionaires. Capitalism has been so ingrained in their minds that they think it is wrong to criticize people who got rich thanks to luck, generational wealth, exploitation and bad work environments. They are profiting off of inequality, and you being underpaid.

And there is a 99.99% chance that you aren't gonna come close to being a billionaire.

I like dancin', and ponies....

Starting your business from zero to the top is more ethical than asking for money that isn’t yours cuz you didn’t work harder or smarter.

he could literally end climate change and world hunger and still be one of the richest humans on this planet. Just to put into perspective how ridiculous this all is.

$200 Billion wouldn't come even close to accomplishing that :air: trillions would need to be invested for something of that scope

But this doggy dog world is hardly fair about it or how it distributes anything

There's plenty of people who work hard and never succeed. There's plenty of people without proper opportunity. There's lots of people who are very rich who got lucky (not Jeff's case but many just inherit it)

I hate the whole work hard argument as if this economy economy has some set formula that for X amount of effort u get an X amount of reward. It doesn't work like that. It's not proportional. People's incomes are not directly proportional to effort or how hard they work. So the system is not fair

But that’s how Forbes said it

It's his net worth not pure cash holdings

A market crash could literally wipe out half his wealth in a day. Easy come easy go

If he lost 99% of his wealth he'd still be a multi billionaire :fatcat:
