Well thank you for not being hypocritical! Because you know half the people who complain about Bezos probably still use amazon and it makes no sense. I’m going to be honest, I still use amazon, but I love how your actions and values line up

Everyone has their own reasons, it’s hard to ‘rebel’ against normalcy when it is being pushed at you from all directions. Being broke af helps lol

You’ve kinda confirmed my previous statement. As soon as we entered the class-divided society (slavery, serfdom, capitalism aka the exploited and the exploiters) that’s when greed began.

But it doesn’t have to be this way! And people are proving that every day!

You’re being utopian. Look at the USSR and the various communist states. The idea was there and yet it were the people who were at fault. :haroon:

He's worth 200 billion but I think it doesnt mean he has that in his bank account

You’re correct it doesn’t mean that.
Worth does not equal what’s in your account.

Better Day

Come and @ me.

Anybody should not have that amount of money. Who ever has 200 billions will never be able to spend it in their lifetime. Well done for them who do make that amount of money but, (cue the angry conservatives) they should be a limit of the amount people can make.

I bet you if the minimum wage is raised, people like the owner of Amazon will complain about eating his “profits”

Well if I don’t have hope I have no reason to live tbh.  I don’t get any pleasure or joy from being selfish and only caring about myself.

I see people every single day being generous and selfless. I truly believe we can build a better world because I see people every day in the process of building it. I would call it hopeful realism, not utopian because I see it happening before my very eyes. People organizing their communities, providing free meals, crowdfunding for people’s care and housing.

And I would rather die helping to build that world than be isolated in a tower of self-interest.

:yennefer:and how is that their fault? Do you want to now tax every person who inherits money or wins the lottery? How about when a poor kids gets one of those and becomes rich?

If socialism wants to help lift people out of poverty so much, then it makes zero sense why you’d hate inheritance or financial winnings “on luck” as you called them. Those are two ways in which many middle class people are able to climb the economic ladder.

:mark:but ofc you wouldn’t get that if you just expect everything to be handed on a silver spoon by the govt and billionaires

Aaaand you’re about as in touch as the Democratic nominee himself.

i don't remember ARTPOP

Nota bene: capitalism does not equal corporatism. Bezos is the enemy of capitalism; otherwise he wouldn't probably be so wealthy

In this society it’s abuse or be abused. :jase:

SMILE2NE1

For those that are mad, if ya'll had a little smarts you would direct your anger at the government for not creating systems that distribute wealth in ways that creates more value for everyone. Bezos just started a business.
