Like Horror is not my thing at all so no matter which movie, they all feels the same to me. I prefer dystopian over Sci-Fi (idk if you'd seperate the two but I do) anyway point is I prefer dystopian over Sci-Fi cause for some reason Sci-Fi never really connects with me in the same way The Tortured Poets Department is out NOW

(Also dystopian novels) I recently watched Children of Men. Not sure how it's ranked among dystopian movies though...

But Sci-Fi fanatics will need some proof that technology used in the movie must be scientifically explainable(?) in some way to be considered as science fiction, which sets them apart from fantasy fiction. I like sci-fi because it helps me feel that humanity can positively progress in terms of technology that will make space exploration or even create a better way of living for mankind. Dystopian gets a little too real in my opinion where we are already seeing society breaking down right now. But that's just my affinity towards fantasy in order for me to remove myself from reality. Which is also why I connect with what Gaga said in MTN video

I also see dystopian as a more 'reasonable' and feasible outcome I guess, which I like (I apparently don't like being optimistic soooo) The Tortured Poets Department is out NOW

And yes to your other comments. I was refering to the trilogy in general same with matrix. If any of them are ur fav u can vote for that one 17 hours ago, GagaSine said: We watched it in biology class in high school and my friend and I were so obsessed! I think it’s great, amazing message as well I also saw it in biology class!!! What the hell is it part of the curriculum? 18 hours ago, Wet Fire said: I also really liked The Host. OT: Among the movies mentioned by the OP I'd go with Interstellar and Arrival among the recent ones. I really liked Annihilation though. But I think one has to consider the masterpieces like Metropolis, Blade Runner, Solaris and 2001: A Space Odyssey while making a list of greatest scifi movies. They're truly great in their own way. 18 hours ago, CannaeDrive said: Haw could you forget about "2001 A Space Odyssey" This was the seminal masterpiece for SF movies, none of these movies in your list wouldn't even exist without 2001. Anyway, I'll go with Interstellar as my second fave. I liked the host as well and space odyssey too but unfortunately it doesn't let me edit because of the poll Any movies I remembered afterwards it doesn't let me add
