When was the last time MTV cared about quality or impressive mvs tho? Actually show me the last video/era that's really pushed the medium forward?

I dont even stan Harry and Dua and know their omission from the top categories is fishy. Has me thinking they might def get a tech each for consolation

They can all bring in ratings. Gaga will bring in the most of the three because, as you said, she’s a household name! BUT Harry had a number one record and 3 huge singles off of Fine Line, and Dua has had a phenomenally successful album this year. They would bring in great ratings also!

It barely brings in 5 million viewers from 6 channels. At this point I'm not even sure it brings in money for MTV because it's pretty expensive to produce. She should just sing on The Voice or even Idol which brings in more ratings I think.

What I think is disrespectful is them not performing just because they were not nominated at bigger categories, like that’s not professional, they could perform and then make some material that could be nominated.

Many of y’all seem to be missing the fact that the nominations are largely based on who will attend. Dua and Harry refused before nominations were finalized, hence why they didn’t get noms on the big categories. Plain and simple.
