Harry Styles recently went #1 and Dua has dominated pop music this year more than any other artist. 

The VMAs are surely meant to reflect what pop music is at the present time? It can't do that if two of the biggest artists aren't being recognised in any way. 

I feel the VMAs are more celebratory of the videos themselves. The Grammys will celebrate the actual talent. I’m sure Harry and Dua will get better recognition next year.

Well on the bright side, WAP not getting performed means RoM will get more of the spotlight.

If WAP is performed, it's definitely stealing thunder from RoM.

MTV VMAs doesn't get it anymore. I'm still wondering what's the point. It's like if Blockbuster still had a movie awards show. 

I'm still not sure why Gaga is anything with MTV at all. 

It's not like she has multiple songs nominated. They only nominated ROM because it's a duet with Ariana. 

Even Dua has multiple song nominations and she was like, yeah, no.

The VMA's rating are always higher on years that Gaga performs than years she doesn't. The VMA's have lost the iconic-ness over the years and that's a fact. They're mostly one huge toilet break besides the odd one or two decent performances with one performance that steals the whole show.

C'mon guys. You know damn well the more big stars/big perfs the VMAs gets the better. Especially with the fact that there's no red carpet, no fashion, no audience or backstage cam, no face to face interactions, drama or reactions, that create the legendary moments that supplement the outrageous performances.  There are things you can only do at the VMAs and MTV effed up with the noms.  Harry and Dua deserved their 2020 moments. And we just lost, probably the only, all out live WAP performance this year. 

I dont know why you guys are celebrating. This is kind of a loss for the culture.

Btw: Gaga can't be upstaged. She owns her entire lane.

Gen Z doesnt even watch tv anymore. Dua Lipa is not even a household name in america yet. No Gaga no ratings
