A lot of this behind the scenes drama happens at every show. Artists who get snubbed show less inclination to perform. Last minute changes leave producers scrambling. It’s just for some reason it’s getting publicised now, which makes the messiness visible for what it is

The VMAs is going to feel quite empty without Harry Styles and Dua Lipa, two of the most relevant and exciting male and female artists on the charts right now. I would've loved for them to be a part of it.

FACTS! Dua definately has improved props to that but she ain't no Gaga or Beyoncé performer level. Well Harry ik he's talented but I haven't seen him performing so idk.

Empty was maybe the wrong word. 

But it'll certainly feel like something is missing. 

Harry Styles recently went #1 and Dua has dominated pop music this year more than any other artist. 

The VMAs are surely meant to reflect what pop music is at the present time? It can't do that if two of the biggest artists aren't being recognised in any way.

I wanted WAP!! Lol I could live without Dua... she has zero stage presence rn. Harry would’ve been nice but I imagine he’d pull a Shawn Mendes and just stand and sing. I hope these performances serve. We need energy and entertainment.
