Not surprising. I thought it seemed too risky to begin with. Somehow I think they thought the virus would magically have disappeared when this show was going to happen.

And what a-list artist would really risk their health traveling and quarantining for 14 days for the VMAs? Imagine all the people they would encounter, various workers, travel staff etc. No offense but it's not that big a deal for someone like Gaga. 

Imagine fans as soon as they would catch wind of where Gaga is. All hell would break loose with people chasing to see her. 

Face masks are mandatory in NY when you can't socially distance so are they gonna perform wearing face masks?! So many questions.

That said I'm convinced Gaga will do her performance from LA. Prerecorded or live.

No way would they cancel Gaga, she has the money and team to pull it off unlike some of those smaller artists. Even if they can't do what they originally planned she will have a plan B
