Honey better treatment for coughs and colds than antibiotics, study claims

Honey may be better than conventional treatments for coughs, blocked noses and sore throats, researchers have said.

Data analysis of the studies indicated that honey was more effective than usual care for improving symptoms, especially the frequency and severity of coughing. Two of the studies showed that symptoms lasted one to two days less among those treated with honey.

The researchers suggest honey might therefore provide an alternative when doctors want to prescribe something to safely treat upper respiratory tract symptoms.

They conclude: “Honey is a frequently used lay remedy that is well known to patients. It is also cheap, easy to access, and has limited harms.

Lmao I don't get it, though, these infections are almost always viral so why would antibiotics work anyway? This study feels like a waste of time and resources.

Anyway it has to be real honney btw. There's a lot of nock off honney out there full of fillers. That sh*t won't work so make sure your getting something legit
