He’s been singing on his songs and albums for years. This is honestly coming off as racist because it’s so misinformed that there’s an assumption that he’s a rapper probably because he is black. I did not switch the votes in fact I was meaning to bring attention to this - @Admin please fix if reading when I try and edit posts with a poll attached it resets the poll and I have to do it again - so when I edited the OP to include my notice about reasoning for the thread it had reset the poll and I had to create it again and I mistakenly switched the poll options. I really think Can't Feel My Face, Blinding Lights and maybe In Your Eyes are about the only truly pop stuff he's done yet so many people want to call him pop now. It's not because he's black, it's his style of singing, beat and lyrics that make it RnB. Pop singers don't sing about explicit stuff like he does in his songs, nor are they that dark. That paired with his deep tones and falsetto plus downbeat trap-esque sounds definitely makes him RnB. He raps occasionally but I don't know anyone who would call him a full-time rapper.
