for clarification: i'm of the belief that people say one thing in the polls on issues and then vote in a totally different way. like i'm sure that most republicans love social security and yet they vote republican who are pretty much against any kind of government safety net.

Of course some media are going for the cheap drama over a convention procedure, just lame and stupid when you know how many Dem Conventions occurred since 1852 :saladga:

i actually don't listen to CNN or MSNBC i read the paper. lol. and my post was in defense of AOC so idk why you're coming at me.

and lastly, for the ten thousandth time, i voted for warren and would've gone sanders hadn't he lost. when are people gonna realize that people just aren't voting for the far left (which in my mind means most people aren't far left) like.... tf

I wasn’t really coming for you but I just have to say that The whole problem is that the media is like “oh Bernie is too extreme too win,” but people want big changes, and they could get it if they just voted with their conscience.

They said the same thing about Obama so I cannot believe they’re doing it again with 2020’s progressives, and they actually got away with it... like what happened? we all need to acknowledge that if you look at the ads cable news is receiving, it’s obvious that the things Warren and Bernie fought against are the reason they’re on air. hey are not objective

(oh and by the way Bernie’s not far left, far left is communism. He’s kinda socialist which is in between capitalism and communism so...)

yeah, well it depends from what view you're taking it. i usually narrow it down to the political dynamics of the USA. so like bernie warren and whoever else, AOC, i consider the far left. but yeah if you're talking about a macro view of politics as a whole, then yeah bernie would just be left and communism would be far left.

i think they need to get the money out of the media. i wouldn't go as far as to say that CNN and MSNBC are fake news (that would certainly be a lot of the programming on fox which is very very bad and almost does a disservice to how bad it is to even compare it with CNN and MSNBC), but their coverage needs a lot of reforming. like in 2016, CNN helped trump get elected AND they reported on russian interference ONCE. i remember seeing that report and being like... how is that not headline news every day. it wasn't until after trump won that the story got big iirc. like... GOOD JOB, CNN you ****s.

honestly, as of right now, trump must leave. but seeing bernie sanders make his speech yesterday... he is a much better politician (policy aside) than biden who is... weak at best... and eh... i guess the country's just not ready for it yet

CNN and MSNBC are not fake news, but when it comes to politics, they’re extremely damaging to democracy, immune to critizing Dems when they should, and make people feel crazy for asking what the rest of the developed world has. It’s the negative framing with progressive ideology and cherry picked facts for me...

The country is ready for change, but they were lead to believe they couldn’t have both change and no Trump. Bernie could have sweeped Trump and polls suggested that.

I just hope Biden does move to the left, but I highly doubt it. 4 more years of needless suffering... it’s so sad.

Republicans love Social programs like Medicare For All. But when its presented by a socialist whos anti capitalist and anti guns, obviously they wont support it. Because supporting that means other things they care about more will be taken away from them.

might be true but idk if most of the voters are that coherent when thinking about policy. like.... i feel like if you went up and asked all of republicans: did you know that republicans despise SS? i feel like a lot (if not most) of republicans wouldn't know that. which is why, in my opinion, they kinda keep that on the down low and are relatively quiet about it. in other words, trump goes on the stump and says he loves social security, when in reality i don't believe he does.

I wish people realized socialism is part capitalist and that Bernie was actually a moderate on guns... ykno Bernie could have messaged a lot better. I won’t ever say he’s completely faultless, but the manufactured uphill battle is so unnecessary
