TerrenceV2 2,001
- Westworld - The Handmaid’s Tale A mix of seriousness and acting chops of of How To Get Away With Murder and Bates Motel, and the high-production, mind-bending dystopian future plot of Black Mirror). It’s about a strip club called “The Pynk” in Chucalissa, Mississippi. It’s super raw but very interesting. The opening kinda reminds me of true blood. Omg my coworkers got me into watching this! It’s deep.

GagaSine 7,464
I was going to recommend The Alienist but based on your dislikes you might not like it, but it is a crime drama Rectify is very slow moving but it is one of my favourite shows ever, a drama about a guy who gets released from death row after 19 years because they decided it is no longer 100% certain he did the crime and I agree with everyone that recommended Fargo

Franch Toast 26,876
I definitely echo the recommendation of Scandal. I watched the first episode and didn't like it, but I gave it another chance and really got into it after a few episodes. I also love Killing Eve, which is about a female assassin. It's well-acted and very engaging. It's on BBC and perhaps Hulu? Currently, I'm watching The Mindy Project on Hulu. If you enjoy rom-coms, you may like it. It's kind of trashy but is what I need right now. I always turn to Gilmore Girls and Jane the Virgin (both on Netflix) for comforting shows. Both have a lot of heart and are about mother-daughter relationships and three generations of women, though Gilmore Girls is a bit outdated. I still love it though because it holds a lot of nostalgic value for me. I also love The Good Place (Netflix). I thought I would hate it based on the premise but ended up loving it. If you like dark shows, I highly recommend Breaking Bad and it's spin-off prequel Better Call Saul (both on Netflix). If you like Asian TV dramas, I'm a fan of Meteor Garden (Netflix), and I've heard Crash Landing Into You (K-drama, also Netflix) is very engaging.
