ToxicHot 6,444 Posted August 19, 2020 Share Posted August 19, 2020 You should definitely watch Weeds! Wow. I was so obsessed with that show, it’s seriously SOOOO AWESOME. It’s a drama-comedy about a housewife who starts selling pot to help support her family after a tragedy happens and then as the show goes on things get heavy and intense. But it’s HILARIOUS. One of the best shows of all time that I’ve ever watched. It’s on Netflix and was produced by Showtime. It lasted 8 seasons and was also critically-acclaimed. I’d also reccomend SMILF, which was also produced by Showtime. It’s very good and soooo funny. It only lasted 2 seasons though. Also produced by Showtime. Another show I’d reccomend is American Crime Story. I only watched season 2 (The Assassination of Gianni Versace), but WOW. It was amazing. It’s a Ryan Murphy show so obviously if you like AHS it’s in the same vein as that. I still need to watch season 1 about the OJ Simpson trial. Also, Orange Is the New Black is extremely outstanding, but I don’t have to explain that one since it’s super popular and mainstream. I see we have a lot of the same taste by the way! A lot of what you don’t like I’m not really into either, except for Euphoria (although you did list some shows I’ve been thinking about watching but never have). I tend to only really really enjoy TV-MA stuff unless it’s a sitcom. And comparing our taste, I LOVE Elite and AHS. Hopefully some of these seem interesting enough as well as a bunch of the others that have already been mentioned. Dexter - I know you mentioned you didn’t like death and this is not that shy about it (main character is a serial killer based in the Miami police department), however if you are into thrills and twists, it is worth the chance. Some of the best twists I’ve ever seen in a show. Persons Unknown - only one season but I was extremely entertained by it. Mysterious psychological thriller. Don’t want to give too much away. Fear Itself - in the same vein as Black Mirror and Twilight Zone (also recommend) where the episodes aren’t connected and are their own story. Hit or miss episodes, but entertaining regardless. Horror based. LOST - a rollercoaster of emotions and mystery, this show takes you for a ride. It’s super long, but is an experience. Another show that is constantly making you think wtf (which can be frustrating at times, especially later), but it’s definitely something to give a go and experience.
