It is biphobic and damaging to not only her but the bi+ community as a whole because it reinforces biphobic stereotypes. So I started a petition for The Advocate, a gay magazine, to address it and hopefully take it down or at least edit it. I would appreciate it a lot if you guys could sign it. The details of why the article is biphobic are in the petition description. Now before you guys comment because I know what's inevitably going to happen, please do not discuss whether or not Gaga is bisexual in this thread. It is not debatable and not up for discussion and not at all what this thread is about. This petition is about fighting bi erasure, a serious issue that the bi+ community has to deal with. Please also do not try to defend The Advocate or put the blame on Gaga because they have deliberately taken her words out of context and it is their own responsibility as an LGBTQ+ media outlet to do their proper research and know the nuances of bisexuality. They should know better. I don't care if you agree with the article or not, the sole purpose of this thread is to make you aware of the petition and hopefully gain some support. If you're not interested in supporting it, I would kindly ask you to keep that to yourself and move on with your day.
