I know it's a shock moment, but I can't see any cultural resets in this performance.

I actually might agree lol, I realized a lot of moments mentioned in this thread were just big or shocking moments; I think a cultural reset needs to shift the pop climate or perspective.

Three Major Ones From Madonna

1. You all can disagree if you wish, but Erotica was a major one. Even with all of the hate that Madonna got, this was definitely a defining moment for women being allowed to be more sexual in music.

2. Ray of Light. It introduced Electronica to the mainstream, Kabbalah to the mainstream, and it re-cemented Madonna as a major figure in pop music.

3. Confessions on a Dancefloor. This album plus Kylie Minogue earlier in the decade is the reason why disco is resurging nowadays.

I think Lady Gaga's freaky fashion style and the way Beyonce just drop her same name album without any promotion impact how industry promote there artist.

Artist like Lorde and Billie Eilish just prove that Lana Del Rey is some kind of cultural reset.

Frank Ocean's coming out really changed the anti-gay atmosphere between hip hop artists, although I not sure if people will count it as a cultural reset or what.

Maybe the PC music's high energy bubblegum bass music is connected with this topic but like Vaporware, I guess I'll just see this as a new music wave.

Last I hate Drake, but maybe his music is some kind of cultural reset.

Does Adele, Taylor and Rihanna have any reset moment?

When Spice Girls came out in 1996 and said to these music executives and the world that Girl Groups can sell records like BSB, Boyzone, and Take That too.

Can't mention in terms of period but Gaga and Lana both acted massive agents of cultural resets
