This is not personal to me, in fact, personally, I'm rather indifferent to the news; I neither feel sympathy nor does it stir enough negative emotion in me to react angrily or otherwise. I'm saying that crucifying the people who vocalize a negative emotional response isn't fair. The user I responded to had directly implied that anyone who didn't either sympathize or keep silent was inherently not a decent person. I disagreed. I think other emotional responses are valid, vocalized or not, and I don't think we have a right to make such judgments about those people because we all have different levels of distance from the issue and we all have different concepts of what is appropriate or inappropriate regarding death.
