I might need to start watching it again soon The reason I mention it is because there's an exchange between Buffy and Andrew where she threatens him by referencing Misery and he geeks out and starts comparing the book to the movie. full circle to my thread. We would probably be scarred for a little while though, lol The only thing that is scary in Misery is Annie.

Books tend to make violence, sëx, and arguments more detailed and intense. Agreed. I enjoyed the film regardless. It was still fun, but scary enough to keep you on your feet He/him/his

PunkTheFunk 123,598
My first time seeing Kathy Bates on screen was in the 1999 version of "Annie" when I was a kid. I LOVE that movie

Well it’s more like they made the film less intense than the book. And most of Stephen King’s books are way more gruesome and disturbing than their film adaptations. I don’t think you can put many of the things he writes about on a mainstream movie. Especially on IT, which I’m still mad that they turned such an unnerving and unsettling horror into a borderline charming comedy with some scares thrown in

I was disappointed a little bit with IT too. It felt more like a lively, comical movie than it did an eerie, unnerving horror film. EuphoricVibez 9
I still laugh when she uses "christing", and "cock-a-doodie" as alternative curse words in Misery This is one of my favorite scenes though. He/him/his
